Tasty take on a traditional French Toast.

The English Muffins soak up the milk mixture well – giving each bite a full, rich, and almost pancake-like texture.

Fresh in-season berries and warm pure maple syrup add natural sweetness.

Option: Drizzle with honey and sprinkle cinnamon over the berries for a healthier option.

  • 4 Oakrun Farm Bakery English Muffins
  • 2 eggs (or 1 egg plus 2 egg whites)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • Butter (or nonstick cooking spray)
  • Fruit or favourite toppings


Step 1: Whisk eggs in a small bowl until frothy.
Step 2: Add milk, sugar and cinnamon. Whisk well.
Transfer to a shallow dish. (Can be made ahead and refrigerated, covered airtight, for as long as 3 days.)
Step 3: To cook, open English Muffins; place in milk mixture, cut-side down, for about 4 minutes. Turn and soak 1 minute more.
Step 4: Heat greased nonstick skillet over medium heat. When hot, cook English Muffins, cut-side down, until browned (about 3 minutes). Flip the English Muffin and brown the other side (about 3 minutes).
Can be kept warm in 200°F oven while cooking remaining English Muffins.
Step 5: Serve hot with fruit or favourite toppings.
